Brief – PORTRAITS OF HUMANS
Entries for this theme will depict images that fall under the following description.
A PORTRAIT is a painting, photograph, sculpture, or other artistic representation of a subject, in which the face and its expression is predominant. The intent is to display the likeness, personality, and even the mood of the subject. For this reason, in photography, a portrait is generally not a snapshot, but a composed image of the subject in a still position. A portrait often shows the subject looking directly at the painter or photographer, in order to most successfully engage the subject with the viewer.
For this challenge, we are asking for the subject to be HUMANS. (Not Animals, or fish or anything else, just HUMANS).
Rules
- Photos must be your work
- No restriction on when the photo was taken.
- Photos can be colour, black & white or any monochrome colour.
- Photos must be at least 1800px on the longest edge and can be Landscape or Portrait formats.
- Maximum of Two Images per Member.
- Entitle your image “Exhibition-name-image-title-firstname-lastname.jpg” For example Portraits-of-Humans–Me-Myself-And-I-joe-blogs.jpg
Voting
- There will be no contribution to the Order of Merit.
Deadline for Entries
- The deadline for entries is 17:00 on Tuesday 24th August 2021
