View Through a Window – Feb 25

This month’s Challenge was themed “View through a Window” and we had 33 images submitted from 17 Members.

Our Guest Judge was Ron Stevens. Ron has been a commercial and art photographer and has taught numerous photography workshops, seminars and travel programs in the US, Costa Rica and Bahamas. He has taught all levels of photography for Miami University in the Department of Art since 1985 where he developed the university’s digital photography program.

Ron is currently the director of Miami University’s Art Center & Craft Summer program. He considers this to be one of the most rewarding experiences of his professional career. He is a member of the Society for Photographic Education and National Association of Photoshop Professionals. Ron has been part of numerous regional exhibits and has had 15 images chosen for exhibition by the Professional Photographers of America as well as twice receiving the Hoosier Award from Indiana for outstanding photography and being named one of the top five photographers in the state of Ohio.

He has images in private collections across the country and continues to do commercial photography that is used in national advertising campaigns. Ron’s interests lie in photographing the ordinary world from unique perspectives.

Our next Exhibition of 2025 will be The Colour Blue in March. Gallery opening night is on the 28th March 2025

I like this image a lot. Well done theme interpretation. Placement of woman creates strong composition, and her gaze creates interesting engagement for viewer.

32 The Tram by Ligia Glover

5th Place
Really interesting and effective play on the image of the woman on side of tram and the people inside. B&W might add some interesting drama to image.
